  Tuesday Break

The Tuesday Break is a ministry that speaks to people here in Cheadle. The service provides a pause for thought and relaxation.

We meet at 12 noon for the Angelus with prayers for the sick and the dying, followed by a drink, then at 12.30 there is a short service with a speaker.

Bring your lunch and join us for fellowship after this service.

Building Blocks

This is for pre school children and their carers, we meet at Bishop Rawle School at 2 pm on the first Friday of the month. This provides a safe area for play for the children and a chance for the adults to have a chat and a cup of coffee.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE?

We fully understand that people nowadays can find church forbidding or an unfamiliar idea and place to be in. We also understand the need to establish trust especially when dealing with children. The Diocese of Lichfield (of which we are part) has very stringent guidelines for working with children, and follow these very carefully.

  • Why not consider a trial period and see if your child or grandchild enjoys themselves?

  • Why not ask Fr. Ian or Dave & Sheila Bond to give you more information?

  • Why not drop into church at any of the service times (click here to view our service times).

Maybe you have children or grandchildren, or a niece or nephew for whom you have concern that they learn Christian values and its faith in the proper place - a church community. Maybe you so not know where to enquire or join, and have been waiting for an invitation. If this is new to you, then it may assure you to know that others wander into our buildings and soon find themselves at home.

We at the Parish Church of Cheadle have a commitment to providing an environment which is friendly, fun and welcoming. We have a varied programme of social events for all the family.

You may not be familiar with church. You may have been put off in the past. We think that our place is special, and what we have to offer is special.

Come along and join us.

WE HAVE A SPECIAL CONCERN FOR THE YOUNG FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS:

  • above all, they are precious.

  • they are so easily influenced by many conflicting ideas that are just not a basis for a good life.

  • they have so few opportunities to learn values which are worthwhile.

  • they have so little stability in life, and for many this extends to home.

Why not drop in and speak to Fr. Ian or one of the team or ring the Rectory (click here to view our contact details).
